Villa Mirella is named after the former owner of the house, nonna Mirella. The Italian lady has lived here with her husband for over 40 years. It was their second home. A place to relax after weeks of working in Torino.
Children and grandchildren were raised here. Her husband passed away in 2004, and it became difficult for her and the family to maintain their beautiful home in Mango. With the help of family, we have put our hard work and ‘tender love and care’ into Villa Mirella. The house had been empty for years, and had overdue maintenance. Everywhere, in every nook and cranny, spiders lived in the house. Our efforts ranged from clearing some of the furniture (in Italy you often get the house with the furniture), disinfecting, restoring walls, painting, and even a sewer restoration, to plowing the garden. In 2023 we installed new sustainable window frames everywhere. This will be followed by solar panels so that guests with electric cars can also charge at our home (now they can do so at Mango’s small centre). We’ve been quite busy with it.
From the first moment we arrived and parked our car in front of Villa Mirella it felt right.

As a result we can rent out both the Main House and de Guesthouse, and for a nice price.
